Creating a Multiple Choice Formative Assessment Using the Schoology Quiz Feature
Edmodo and Schoology are similar in terms of ease of use. However, as a Science & Math teacher I prefer Schoology because the equation editor is much easier to use and media can be directly embedded into the question area. The presentation of the results is also much more sophisticated and feedback and/or comments can be made to the answers given.

CONS:
- Multiple Choice can be printed only when the page settings allow for all the questions to be shown together. Then one can print using the browser's print function. The printing cannot be formatted so some questions may fall on two pages.
- Pictures cannot be used as an answer choice.
- You cannot use the equation editor for entering choices in multiple choice answers. Instead, you can enter choices in the main text area and refer to each one with a letter or a number and those become choices. See picture below for an example.
